Krazy Katsu

OG Fries

7/10

The OG Fries were very good and came in a big portion. Nothing was wrong with the dish, and everything tasted well put together. The crinkle-cut fries were topped with katsu bites, pickles, and Kewpie slaw, then finished with cheese sauce, Kung-Fu sauce, and Kewpie mayo. The combination of crispy fries and flavorful toppings made the dish filling and satisfying. For the portion size and quality, it was also well priced.

Gyoza

6/10

The 5 Gyoza were just your typical, solid dumplings with good flavor. However, they came out a little cold, which took away a bit from the overall experience. Still, they were tasty and made for a decent starter or side.

HOT Katsu Sandwic

7/10

The HOT Katsu Sandwich was good overall. The chicken had great flavor, but it was a little dry and could have used a bit more sauce. Despite that, the sandwich was satisfying, and the spicy seasoning, jalapeños, and Kewpie coleslaw added nice flavor and crunch. All in all, it was a solid

Bourbon-Yaki Katsu Bites Bowl

7/10

The Bourbon-Yaki Katsu Bites Bowl was flavorful and tasty, with the house-made bourbon-yaki sauce standing out as a highlight. The sides, including banh mi slaw and sunomono, added freshness and balance. The only downside was that it felt a little light on the chicken compared to some of the other dishes, but overall it was still a satisfying mea

My Overall thoughts

Krazy Katsu delivers a fun, flavorful, and satisfying dining experience. The fried chicken is crispy, the sauces are bold, and the menu offers a good variety—from loaded fries to spicy sandwiches and fresh bowls. Some dishes were slightly drier or smaller on protein compared to others, and a few sides arrived a little cold, but overall the flavors and portions make it a solid choice. I would definitely go back, and anyone looking for a hearty, tasty meal in San Antonio should give it a try.
